About this Speaker
Marilene Shane is currently a School Leader living in the United Arab Emirates for six years. She is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, but has a home base in Houston, Texas, where she was Principal of an elementary school before moving abroad. She is an avid solo traveler who firmly believes that if you travel far enough, you'll inevitably find yourself. In July 2019 she published her first book on Solo Travel, in hopes of inspiring other Black Women to embark on their own "solo mission."
